Announcements

•    Holiday Party was scheduled for December 8 at Eileen Schioppa’s house.  More information will be coming.
•    The club has had three departures:  Terry Mickelson, Sue Strebe, and John Burnside.
•    December 6 2007 Club Assembly meeting
•    December 13, 2007 Intra City Club meeting at Friendship Village with speaker Joe Garagiola. Cost $10.00/person.
Motion: Moved Corey Bruggeman, seconded Ben Eubank.  Corey will contact Joe Garagiola and see if he will sign books if TRS purchases 25 books.  Books can then be available at the meeting and for future fund raising.

•    Lynsie Rigby Boy’s and Girls Club:  Saturday, December 8 at 7:00 am will be the $100.00 shopping at Mervyns (Alma School Road and Elliott) with 100 kids. Volunteers are needed. If you can help out please contact Lynsie.
•    ASU is posting the raffle tickets for Jan Snyder.  If you can take extra raffle tickets to raise money please let Dona or Jan know.

TODAY’S SPEAKER:  Today’s Speaker: Kelly K. Damron, author “Tiny Toes: A Couples Journey Through Infertility”.

Kelly Damron is a former Rotarian and is an active volunteer with the “March of Dimes”.  Some facts about infertility. 
•    One in eight (8) couples has infertility problems.
•    Invitro Fertilization is 30% to 50% successful and is expensive. 
•    500,000 premature babies are born each year; premature births are the leading cause of death during the first year.
•    The March of Dimes research discovered that folic acid prevents neural tube deficiencies causing spins bifida.
•    Kelly’s book is available through Amazon. COM.

Jim Lemon drew the losing 8 of spades, so still no winner in the lottery.  The Queen of hearts is still hiding.  Maybe next week we will have a winner.
